NCX founders Zack Parisa and Max Nova started the company in 2010. Initially, the focus was on commercializing a satellite-based forest measurement technology that Zack had invented at the Yale School of Forestry. Over the years, the NCX team has grown to include foresters, software engineers, data experts, and a support team dedicated to helping landowners make informed and confident decisions about their natural capital portfolios.
Leadership Team
Max is a co-founder of NCX, the Natural Capital Exchange. His entire career has been dedicated to NCX’s mission of creating prosperity for people and the planet with fair and honest natural capital markets. An engineer by training, Max has spent over a decade building tools for assessing the risks and rewards of land management decisions. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Max is a graduate of Yale University.
Zack Parisa is the co-founder and Chief Economist of NCX. Over the last decade, he has developed and pioneered precision forestry tools that are revolutionizing the way that forests can be measured, valued, and managed. Zack helps landowners navigate emerging natural capital markets for values beyond timber, such as carbon, wildlife habitat, and fire risk. Zack is a forester and biometrician by training. He earned an MFS from Yale University, and a BS in forestry from Mississippi State University.
Andy is the Chief Product Officer at NCX, responsible for delivering great product experiences to landowners and project developers. As a landowner himself, he has a special passion for using technology to make NCX more accessible, intuitive, and empowering for everyone who participates.
His prior work experience includes nearly 10 years at Microsoft in a variety of sales, customer success, and product management roles. He is originally from the southeastern United States and earned his BS from Georgia Tech.
