Collection of Information

We may collect information from users of the Service in various ways, including soliciting registration for use of our Service. As part of such registration, users may be required to submit personally identifiable information such as names and email addresses. The registration may require additional information, such as mailing
addresses and phone numbers.

We may also collect data and other information submitted or transmitted to us by users of our Plot Hound™ mobile application.

Payment

We may offer products and/or services within the Service that require payment. For processing payments, we use a service provided by Tipalti, a third party payment processor. Tipalti collects your payment details directly and protects your personal information in accordance with its privacy policy at https://tipalti.com/privacy. NCX does not collect or store your payment details.

We also use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects and processes personal data, including identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection and prevention. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Similar Processes

We may collect information from users of our Service by using and accessing “cookies,” “web beacons,” “clear gifs,” Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses, and other computer programs or processes.

Cookies are small data files that are transferred to your computer by servers. Web beacons are small electronic images (usually single-pixel “gif” files) that allow access to cookies. Clear gifs are invisible electronic images. IP addresses are unique sets of numbers assigned to computers that are accessing the Internet.

We may use and access the computer devices in order to improve content offerings by, for example, tracking usage patterns, customizing content, and recording information submitted by users. However, the data will be aggregated and will not include personally identifiable information.

We collect information from registrants primarily to facilitate their use of the Service. Specifically, usernames and passwords allow registrants to access the Service; and names and email addresses are helpful for communicating with registrants. The other information helps us tailor the content of our Service to user preferences and communicate information about other products or services that might be of interest.

We may use your personally identifiable information in other ways in connection with our business. For example, we may use the information to alert you to improvements to the Service and solicit your opinion about such improvements.

Data and other information collected from users of our Plot Hound mobile application may be made available to other users or administrators from the same client/customer. This data and other information may also be used in an aggregate, anonymous manner primarily to (1) improve the design, functionality, and content of our Service. We will not publicly display or distribute any raw data collected using Plot Hound.

We store data in the United States.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We may disclose information about users of our Service in the following circumstances:

• If you submit content for publication (for example, by sending an email), we may publish the content with any personally identifiable information that accompanies the content.
  
• We may disclose information in response to a court order or request of law enforcement personnel, in connection with litigation or other legal proceedings, or to enforce our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.
  
• We may disclose information in the normal course of business with such third parties as: (1) professional advisors; and (2) providers of technology, order fulfillment, or customer service assistance who are bound by contractual obligations to keep the information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. For instance, we may share landowner information, including names and addresses, with Verra (https://verra.org) and other third party verifiers for purposes of project verification and validation.
  
• We may disclose information to carefully selected business partners with which we enter into collaborative relationships for purposes such as co-marketing and lead sharing. These business partners are likewise bound by contractual obligations to keep the information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  
• For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

We will not rent, share, sell, or trade personally identifiable information with unaffiliated third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
