NCX Membership Updates, September 2024

This month, we took a big step forward in our mission. We announced NCX Membership, an offering dedicated wholly to landowners seeking to grow and protect their land’s natural capital. We also eliminated all commission based agreements with program partners to fully align our business to serve landowners.
Every week, our entire team meets and asks a simple question: What is the most valuable thing we can do for landowners? Here are some of the highlights from September.
Universal program directory
We now list ALL programs on our marketplace, not just the ones that were paying us before we terminated our commission agreements. Using our remote sensing technology and industry knowledge about how these programs work, we are able to assess your land for every type of program and help you compare their offer terms. We are adding more programs all the time based on where our NCX Members own land, starting with forest related programs.
Program verification
With program verification, you can see which programs are seeking to be fair and honest with landowners. Verified programs are legitimate offers with terms confirmed by the companies offering them. Programs that do not respond to our inquiries to confirm their business legitimacy and program terms will be shown as unverified. Read more about our program verification process
Timber value estimate
Landowners can now see an estimated value for their entire natural capital portfolio, including timber! Many landowners over the years, including me, have been asking for a timber value estimate without the need to have someone out to the property. NCX also works with consulting foresters to help you when you are ready to seek offers for your timber. Having a trustworthy forester walk the property and determine your timber value is still the best method out there for getting a fair deal. We’re here to help you connect with foresters in our network if and when you’re interested in a timber sale.
