Dr. Nan Pond wins SAF Young Forester Leadership Award

The Society of American Foresters has announced that Dr. Nan Pond, SilviaTerra’s Chief Biometrics Officer, is the recipient of the annual SAF Young Forester Leadership Award.  

Nan is currently serving as the chair of the SAF Forest Science and Technology Board, which is tasked with advocating for science within the Society of American Foresters and within the professional overall. Prior to taking on this leadership role, she served on the FS&TB as a Subject Area Representative for forest biometrics and forest technology. Nan has also had leadership roles in the A1 Inventory and Biometrics Working Group, and remains an active member of that group
